Marshall County High School took home second place at the 54th Annual Murray State Chemistry Scholarship Tournament today. Seniors JT Hall, Dustin Sanders, and Kiefer Siress along with junior Maverick Simmons placed second among twelve teams from three states, including schools from western Kentucky, southern Illinois, and northwest Tennessee.
The Marshals competed in the Upper Division level of competition which consists of students who were enrolled or had finished second-year chemistry. JT Hall earned the top spot on the exam scoring 1st among all the students at the tournament. Hall earned $200 cash and a $1000 MSU scholarship. The team took home 2nd place overall, earning $150 for the school.
