Marshall County High School

Yesterday a group of students from MCHS had the opportunity to go on a full day visit to Western Kentucky University. They were able to meet with admissions, go on a full campus tour, meet with former students from MCHS that now attend WKU, and meet with students majoring currently in their specific interest area. Huge thanks to Rush Robinson, former MCHS graduate and current WKU student government president, who helped organized the day and took everyone on the tour.

Marshall County High School took home first place at the 55th Annual Murray State Chemistry Scholarship Tournament today. Senior Blake Harper along with juniors Scarlett Gardner, Ayen Arceo, and Lilli Perry competed in the Upper Division level of competition. Scarlett Gardner earned the top spot on the exam scoring 1st among all the students at the tournament. Gardner earned $200 cash and a $800 MSU scholarship. Blake Harper earned 3rd place among all the students and went home with $100 cash and a $400 MSU scholarship. The team took home 1st place overall, earning $200 for the chemistry department. The Marshals are coached by Shelley McGregor.

Good luck to our cross country team at state!!

On Saturday October 18th the Marching Marshals ended their competitive season by traveling to Bethel University.  They received the bronze (3rd overall) against 10 other groups.  They won class AAA and also brought home Best Drum Major in Class AAA.  Good job Marshals!
